A little about me… After Graduating from University with a Computer Science degree my first project was to give rise to and figure-head a nationwide designer T-shirt business. After successfully running this business for a few years I realised my heart lay back in the technical (geeky) side of things.
So as a result I worked freelance in web development for a few years before joining forces with a web design agency. After several years gaining experience in the industry, I felt the time was right to create my own web design business which followed my own ethos. Only then would I be able to shape my vision of building relationships with clients the way I felt it should be done. And so it was, scotchegg was born!
Among other things I’m a web developer and a seasoned programmer with a passion for the internet.Being a Certified Zend PHP5 Engineer clients can be assured of high quality and secure coding on all internet work.
I help businesses get the most out of the internet, ensuring maximum online exposure by utilizing both social networking and a high quality website.
I’ve been a specialist Joomla! content management system developer for the past 2 years and have brought the power of this system to lots of websites.
More importantly I’m a table tennis champion and currently Fazeley Studio’s league Leader!
Having gained a degree in Contemporary History and Politics, I found myself at Scotchegg by way of internships ranging from fashion press and PR to writing television proposals. As an energetic and vibrant young company full of creative minds and engaging personalities, Scotchegg was the perfect place to settle and start a career.
As a self confessed ‘people person’ with a passion for creating well crafted web copy and editorial style content, when I’m not writing for websites, I work alongside the team driving new business and ensuring Scotchegg is the first word that comes to mind when you think web design.
My role in this exciting team is New Business. I help identify and source those businesses which need support and guidance in reaching their full Web design and development potential.
A passion for music has allowed me to take myself and my band Scarlet Harlots, on to T4 on Channel 4 and to support some of the biggest acts and bands out today.
Developing avenues for my music to expand as a brand, product, touring, television and radio opportunities, it was appropriate but brilliant to be part of New Business at Scotchegg. I love fashion, Art, playing chess, Bigger than Barry , selling antiques and winding up Pete! It’s so easy.
In keeping with our desire to stay on top of our game we located our home within Fazeley Studios.
This new creative studios complex is located within Digbeth the digital capital of Birmingham. This ideal location sets us among all the upcoming digital talent in the area and allows us to tap directly into the pulse of everything that is exciting in digital media.
The building itself inspires from the moment you walk through the big blue door, from the Pre-Raphaelite informed décor all the way through to the networking and social media events regularly held here.
